Prague 38” x 96”
Spraypaint, acrylic paint, and oil-based ink on carved block, 2019-24
A monumental narrative landscape that captures the essence of the city and the personal history of my family, who fled as refugees after World War II. This piece, measuring an epic 38”x96”, also chronicles my artistic journey over several years.
It began as a black and white woodcut intended for paper prints (1-2 copies are still available) and evolved into a vibrant, hand-painted artwork on the original woodblock. Using spray paint, acrylic, and black ink rolled onto the lines, it retains the depth and graphic qualities of a woodcut while standing as a unique piece of art.
Although the original has been sold, digital prints will be available soon :)
